The retreat is located at Melderstein Bruksherrgård (Melderstein Manor House) close to the town Råneå, in the far north of Sweden. The nearest city is Luleå. Råneå is situated about 90 kilometers from the Finnish border.
To get here, you need to get to Sweden first. The capital city, Stockholm, has good connections by plane to most countries and major airports around the globe.

By air
You can take a connecting flight directly from Stockholm to Luleå and Kallax airport. The flight from Stockholm to Luleå takes just over an hour. For timetables and prices, please visit www.sas.se and www.flynordic.com.
From Kallax you continue by the airport bus to Luleå (costs 45 SEK and takes about 15 minutes), change buses and then continue to Råneå (costs 44 SEK and takes 40 minutes). More info about the airport coaches can be found at www.flygbussarna.se and Länstrafiken's website www.ltnbd.se
If you are travelling from or through Finland, Tornio/Kemi airport is the best choice. For timetables and prices, please visit www.finnair.fi.
From Tornio/Kemi you can take the bus to Haparanda (in Sweden), and then continue to Råneå. Bus from Tornio to Råneå takes about 1 hour and 50 minutes, costs 100 SEK. Please refer to www.matkahuolto.fi and Länstrafiken's website www.ltnbd.se for more info.
By train
You can take a train to Luleå and then continue by bus to Råneå. Trains are very reliable, clean and safe in Sweden -- service is good and beds are comfortable. You will most certainly meet some very interesting people in the train too.
For train timetables, see Connex's website www.connex.se. You'll have to buy a ticket to Luleå and then continue your journey by bus to Råneå. Bus from Luleå to Råneå costs 44 SEK and takes 40 minutes. See bus timetables at Länstrafikens website www.ltnbd.se.

By car
The highway network in Swedish Lapland is of high standard and accessibility is good. You can get directions in Swedish from Eniro's website, search for "Melderstein"; http://kartor.eniro.se/....
From Råneå to the resort
We will provide transportation to the resort from Råneå, if you wish. Please provide us with your travel information in advance, so we can arrange your pick up. It is also possible to take a taxi from Råneå to Melderstein. The distance is no more than 12 kilometers.
